Conflict of Interest - New Weapons Plays A Pivotal Role in Clash Between World Powers
Humain built weapons for the first time to protect themselves from wild animals. Historians segregate weapons of different eras i.e. prehistoric, stone, bronze and iron age. As civilization progressed human beings started to utilize weapons against each other to establish hegemony. In the modern era, weapons have become more lethal and potent enough to annihilate the whole civilization. The invention of nuclear weapons open a new era in the weapon development programme. All the developed nations started to develop nuclear weapons for hegemonic control over the world. Not only nuclear weapons but the development of non-nuclear weapons were conducted at a brisk pace. All the nations are vying with each other to develop deadlier weapons. Modern human beings are aware of supersonic cruise missiles, hypersonic ballistic missiles, fifth-generation fighter jets, anti-ballistic missile defence systems. There are a couple of other weapons which were kept secret by the developer nations that can change the direction of war within a couple of hours and gives advantage over arch rivals in conflict of interest.
1. Laser Weapon:
The laser weapon is known as a "directed energy weapon". The laser beam is used to destroy multiple targets i.e. missiles, fighter jets, helicopters, tanks, ships. The weapons could be perched on fighter jets, ships, drones, helicopters and target incoming missiles, jets, tanks. The beams released from the weapons were potent enough to move like the speed of light and precisely hit the target. Only four countries developed laser weapons i.e. USA, UK, China and India. The laser beam melts the portion of the target. The US army developed the most powerful laser weapon system, known as AN/SEQ-3. The laser weapons will be inducted into the US military in 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin on 1st March 2018, declared that Russia already developed a laser weapon system and production was already started. UK started to develop laser weapons known as "Directed Energy Weapon" (DEW). The test will be conducted in 2023 on Army Vehicles and Royal Navy Ship. China tested laser weapons in 2019, which has a lot of similarities to the US made laser weapon. India also developed laser weapons named DURGA (Directionally Unguided Ray-Gun Array) a lightweight directed energy system.
2. Anti Satellite Weapon (ASAT):
Anti satellite space weapons are developed to destroy the space satellite of the adversary. The only couple of countries that have the mastery to develop such weapons. Countries that developed anti-satellite weapons are USA, Russia, China and India. The US tested an anti-satellite weapon in October 1959. ASAT could destroy or jam the satellite of foe. In the modern-day, a country's defence system depends on satellites. Russia is the second country after the US to develops ASAT missiles and test-fired direct ascent anti-satellite missile system on 15th December 2020, which is potent enough to threatened US satellites. China is the first Asian country to possessed the art of developing ASAT weapons. China testfired the ASAT weaponry system on 11th January 2007. India is the fourth state to conduct an anti-satellite missile test in March 2019. The missile hit the satellite in low orbit. India India named the experiment "Mission Shakti".
3. KALI:
India has developed a unique weapon called KALI that no other country in the world possesses the same weapon system. KALI does not melt or create a hole on enemy's missiles, fighter jets, tanks. The volley of electrons released by KALI inactivates fighter jets, missiles, tanks by destroying the electronic structure of the gadget of the enemy missile, fighter jets. The KALI (Kilo Ampere Linear Injector) release high-speed electron beams to target incoming missiles or fighter aircraft. Different versions of KALI are KALI 50, KALI 100, KALI 200, KALI 1000, KALI 5000 and KALI 10,000. India does not disclose much information about KALI. The former defence minister of India Manohar Parikkar responding to a question, whether KALI 5000 was inducted into the Indian army, stated that information is highly sensitive and disclosure of information will not in favour of the country's security.
4. Sixth Generation Fighter Jets:
Few countries developed fifth-generation fighter jets i.e. USA, Russia, China and India. Now the US started to develop 6th generation fighter jets. USAF (US Air Force) shows the prototype of a sixth-generation fighter jet F/X in March 2018. Various features of sixth-generation fighter jets are sleek, stealthy, installed lase beam, carry high payload and capable of firing hypersonic missiles. This is the advanced version of the fifth-generation fighter jet F22. Now Russia, China and India started to work on sixth-generation fighter jets.
The world slowly heading towards multipolar. The US no longer enjoys hegemonic status. Multiple nations trying to dominate the world's politics. Advance weaponry will decide the fate of the world.
5. Rail Gun:
Rail guns are the latest weapon that boosts the penetrative power of armed forces. Only four countries i.e. US, Russia, China and India possessed the technology of rail guns. The rail gun does not launch any explosive projectile. Rail is the metallic device that exploits electromagnetic force to launch a projectile with supersonic speed, range from Mach 4 to Mach 7. Rail guns should be installed on a ship to penetrate the enemy frigate. The rail gun could crack the metallic cover of an enemy ship. Rail gun is to be installed as a military weapon of any naval force. Despite the decades of research, the rail gun is still in the R&D stage.
India in recent times developed multiple weapons to scare the hostile neighbours. Those weapons are rail guns, swarm drones, anti-ballistic missile defence system, intercontinental missile Surya ( with a range of 8000 kilometres), light combat fighter jet Tejas and Swati radar.

The above-mentioned weapons will add a new feather to India's defence system and add advantage in conflict of interest against China and Pakistan. Rail guns are the latest addition to armour. Rail guns do launch explosive materials to destroy the innards of the enemy. It launches a high-speed projectile to inflict damage to the enemy's weaponry. The speed of the released projectile would be 6 Mach (one Mach is equivalent to the speed of sound). Only five nations in the world possess the technology of rail guns. Those nations are the USA, Russia, UK, Japan, China and India. India will develop many more sophisticated weapons to protect the Indo-Pacific region from the clutches of China.
