The 21st century experienced multiple incidents of terrorism. The main purpose of those terrorist incidents was to inflict human loss, destruction of properties and shatter humanity. Terrorist activities should be segregated into two different forms; one is a cluster attack on multiple targets and the second one is a lone wolf attack. During the 20th century, multiple terrorist groups conducted their heinous deeds to achieve their heinous goals. They had limited technique with limited ammunition. The impact of those destructive activities was not huge. The scenario was changed with the advent of the 21st century.

Now, most of the terrorist groups were affiliated by Islam, the goal of those terrorist activities were too traumatized the mass, turned themselves as an icon for fellow religionists. Perpetrators of those heinous crimes were zealots. The sights of human agony provide immense pleasure to their boorish mentality. Turmoil, deaths, destruction helps these terrorist organizations to achieve their goal and secure their place in paradise after death. Various ghastly incidents like 9/11, 26/11, various explosions, cold-blooded murders of human beings tarnished the peaceful religion called Islam. The so-called terrorist organizations have now ceased to exist.

The Islamic terrorist organization tried to spread their tentacle all over the world. A couple of organizations that haunted our minds are Al-Qaeda, ISIL (Islamic State in the Levant), Taliban, Laskar-e-Toiba, Bokoharam, Al Sahahab. Women of non-Islamic groups were at the receiving end. Women belong to the Yazdi community, Christian girls of Nigeria were tormented, tortured, mauled, maimed, mutilated, turned into sex slaves. Girls belonging to the age group of 6-13 years were forcefully taken away from their parents and later sexually abused. Most of the analytics find out the root cause of spreading terrorist activities were poverty, illiteracy, injustice committed by Western forces against the followers of Islam. But the profile of the chieftain of Al-Qaida Al Zawahiri, ISIL's chief Baghdadi proves the above-mentioned theorem erroneous. They were well educated and belong to a rich family and their goal was to become the talisman of Islam by spreading deaths, destruction. Humanity, virtuousness are meaningless words for them. They derived satiety from killing, torturing the followers of non-Islamic religion. The decimation of Russia at the hands of the Taliban boosts the morale of terrorist organizations. They started to believe that arms conflict with Islam will jeopardize the numero uno power of the world USA. The first Pan-Islamic terrorist organization Al-Qaeda obliterated after the 9/11 traumatic incident. Their supremo Bin Laden was killed by America's special commando force (Navy Seal). The rest of the leaders of Al-Qaeda met with the same destination as Bin Laden.

The demise of Al-Qaeda precipitated the rise of another terrorist organization ISIL. The hunting grounds of both terrorist organizations in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia were ruled by a dilapidated regime with feeble infrastructure. The administration of the above-mentioned countries failed to withstand the incursion of these terrorist organizations. The availability of online training for newly recruits helps to spread the tentacle of these organizations all over the world. They justified the killing of non-Islamists. to avenge the atrocities committed by non-believers against believers. They are the followers of the Islamic Salafist movement, an extreme version of the Koran. The most amazing thing is that the prime number of people affected by terrorist activities were Muslims.

The Salafi movement was promoted by the regent of Saudi Arabia. Western countries asked Riyadh to do so, in order to flounder the increasing influence of Russia. Before the ascension of Al-Qaeda Afghanistan, Iraq was a developed country, with free-flowing of women emancipation movements. The regime of both countries were staunch supporters of modernity and women flocks attended schools, colleges, cafes without any restrictions. The sudden rise of enmity between Russia and Western blocks changed the scenario. This precipitated the fall of Saddam Husain of Iraq, Nasser of Egypt and blew away the last bulwark of modernity from the Middle East. The fertile ground was prepared for the ascension of zealots groups. Western countries made a lot of plunges and struggled to contain the Jihadi genie.

Taliban is an Islamic terrorist organization, which is infested by the Pashtun tribe. The "Taliban" was derived from the Pashtun word "Talib" means student. The Pashtun who studied in different madrasas of Pakistan and Afghanistan later developed a group known as the Taliban. The former United States of Soviet Russia tried to occupy Afghanistan and fought a prolonged war with Afghan Mujahidin (religious warrior of Islam) during the 1980s. The Mujahidin was supported by the USA, UK, China, Iran, Pakistan successfully withstand the USSR army and forced them to withdraw from Afghanistan which led to the collapse of the USSR and given birth to countries like Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus. The dissolution of the USSR, end the cold war helps the USA became the sole superpower of the world. The decade long battle completely decimated the well developed Afghanistan, near 2 million Afghans lost their life, lakhs of Afghans migrated to neighbouring countries like Iran and Pakistan. The influx of refugees caused havoc to the economies of Iran and Pakistan.

Conflict Of Interest - Taliban V/S Northern Alliance

Post decimation of Soviet Unions different fractions of Mujahiddins fought battles against each other to ascend power of Afghanistan. The internal friction of Mujahidin led to the rise of the Taliban. Taliban trampled the rest of the Mujahidin fractions and formed a government in Afghanistan. The Taliban is a Sunni dominated group of the Pashtun tribe. After rising to power Taliban mercilessly killed the President of Afghanistan Najibullah and hanged his body from the lamppost. The rest of the Mujahidin forces went to the northern part of the country and formed Northern Alliance under the stewardship of Ahmad Shah Masud. Northern Alliance consists of mainly minority tribes like Tajik, Uzbek, Hazara, Turkmen. Here Tajik consists 27% of the total population of Afghanistan and second-largest tribe followed by Pashtun (45%).

Process to Curb Islamic Terrorism

We have developed a tendency to besmirched an entire community for the wrong deeds of a few. One needs to stay away from using the words like "Jihadi" or "Radical Islam". The above-mentioned steps will contain the zealots who believe in Wahhabi or Salafi in the separate isle and deprive them of a steady flow of sympathy from the rest of the community. Rulers should promulgate laws to make it mandatory for every kid to enrol themselves with modern education systems for the enlightenment of souls This will encounter extremism or Radical Islam. The modern education system is potent enough to destroy dogma like "Salafism" or "Wahabism".
